How We Help
Where will you hear about us?
Our e-newsletter: Every week in Umpqua News & Views we share stories of local inspiration in our community. Sign up on the lower right of you screen.
In-store educational materials: Look for the green “Think Local Umpqua MEMBER” decal in storefronts around town – when you see one, you can be sure that business is truly locally owned and independently operated. Posters and educational brochures help tell the story about why “local” matters.
Local Pages directory: Each year we print a comprehensive list of local independent businesses and farmers. You can find the guide at a local participating business, library or visitors center. Contact us if you need one.
Events: Keep an eye out for our Think Local Activity Booth at events like Farmers Markets and Fairs. Think Local Trivia and a Think Local Photo Contest are all part of the fun!
thinklocalumpqua.com: This website includes information on why thinking local matters, plus a searchable online directory of all participating businesses. We want this website to be an active place for contributions and discussion about why local matters, how to make it easier to buy locally, and ways to develop authentic relationships with local businesses. Blog for us! Email your story.
We have lots of grand ideas about how to keep the conversation going. And you probably have ideas too – we’d love to hear them!
